Just got my YMZ Lightning 2 Walksnail ELRS 2S up and running today! When I first plugged it in and bound it, it wouldn’t arm. After some trial and error (and a lucky guess), I realized the stick configuration was set to Mode 1, but I fly in Mode 2. I figured this out by holding my pitch stick down and centering my throttle, which finally allowed me to arm it. At that point, I knew what the issue was.
Sure, I could’ve caught this faster if I’d checked the receiver tab in Betaflight while plugged in, but hey, live and learn!
Now for the flight impressions: this thing is agile and quick as hell! But I have to say… they really should’ve made the battery lead just a half-inch—or even a quarter-inch—longer. The way it’s positioned puts so much stress on the solder joints to the FC. To address this, I cut up some old batteries to create an XT30 extension, which helps a bit. But let’s be real—it’s probably just a matter of time before something gives. Plus, the added weight from the extension has it not exactly CG :/
Still, loving this quad so far despite the quirks!
