Latency Comparison: 4kHz vs 8kHz for Flight Controllers
how much worse is 4khz compared to 8khz in terms of latency because my FC can't handle 8 probably because I have GPS on it now

For 2KHz or 1.6KHz, choose DShot150.
For 4KHz or 3.2KHz, choose DShot300.
For 8KHz, choose DShot600.

What's your pid loop rate. You'll be fine with 3.2 or 8 on both with an F7 and you can select dshot600. You can disable your gyro low pass 2 filter if both match.
Cpu usage shows higher in BF4.4 and 4.5. You would need to change some settings if it's showing over 70 on the bench. F7 should be fine tho.

@DeadmanFPV if your pid loop and gyro loop match you can turn off your Gyro Low Pass Filter 2 in the filters part of PID tab. Gyro LPF is an anti aliasing filter for mismatched pid and gyro loop
