This drone ticks so many boxes for me. IF I could only ever fly one drone it would be this one.
It started out as a walksnail build but I switched it over to the DJI04 lite.
Why should you build this?
- It's is fast and zippy.
- Low risk, not loud or intrusive
- good flight times for its size
- Can fly bascially anywhere from small parts to large fields (Although its too fast for indoors)
- Cheap batteries
- Funs great on a default tune
- Not very much soldering required
- easy to transport, great for a drone to travel with
Things to consider
- the led is only for if you are flying with others
- Camera protection is not the best. It can be easy to break a camera on a full speed crash
- Limited space when building. The lightning v2 frame is quite compact so there is not too much room to work with
- I had to mount the DJI camera with a bit of foam and some hot glue, Not idea, but it also helps reduce some jellow and smooth it out a bit.
- No atenna adapter, I used zip ties
There is also a lighting v3 prebuild which bascially is the same as this but works fine out of the box, except that the v3 djio version does have some jellow at slow speeds in the dvr/camera. I personally like the v2 the best. The v2 is also smaller and lighter than the v3.

TTeleportFpv I’ve heard loads of good about this little ripper. And seen it fly on your channel. A very nice build.
