I agree with @AurilFPV.
It will get you in the air as long as they both are of the FRSKY protocol but you will be looking to upgrade very quickly and if you break any part of the frame it would probably be hard to find replacement parts.
I have an X-lite radio from when it came out and now the soft touch plastic is breaking down and making the controller sticky.

Anyone using smaller alternative 2.4 ghz antennas on the RadioMaster Nomad? I find the dual band antennas very large on my Tango 2.
Not looking for dual "T" style antennas.
