Hey there! I live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. I'm learning to FPV - I have BetaFPV Pavo Femto, BetaFPV Meteor75 II Pro and a Flywoo Firefly25 Mini O4 PRO - 1S, 2S and a 3S. Fortunate to be close by to a big wide field to practice at. Big shout-out to some of my favourite FPV YouTube channels for keeping me entertained and informed: UAV Futures, Botgrinder, Bones FPV, and the 'famous know it all, Bardwell'. I've never seen anybody fly FPV in real life. So I'm just doing my own thing - the usual learning curve. The DIYFPV community are great mob!

Nice J-F that was a cool spot to fly - swooping around like a bird. Damn cold hands must be a nuisance when trying to fly.

I watched some of the drone nationals in Brisbane. I am baffled as to how you keep track of the laps and who is who with the race lead. It is all happening so fast. Doing the commentary must be insanely hard.

You have so many good spots - really big and nobody in sight. Nice city and the fall color change you have is again, so different to over here. Nice flying J-F.

I can't use Tryp FPV or Uncrashed because they are built using the Unreal Engine to create the graphics (at least that is my understanding) and my PC doesn't have a dedicated graphics card - just make sure your PC can handle the video specs required of the sim. I was disappointed when I realised that I would need to upgrade my PC in order to use them. However Liftoff works well for me.

A true 'hard' wildman - I would have just gone home and burst into tears. Sounds like there wasn't much left of your quad. But, then you go back harder than ever - 'because you gotta' - respect.

Cheers oldguy, I appreciate your encouragement. Way different here to where you go flying up in the 'wildman' lands of Montana. The bush turkey and all native species are protected by law over here with big fines for hurting/killing them. Even the drop bears and snakes that want to kill you in your backyard - nope - you can't just dong them on the head, your have to get a wildlife 'removal' expert. Most of the time I just chuck them over the fence into my neighbors yard.

I've got three fly spots so far. I try and cycle through them for different types of practice. This spot is a very popular river park so I try to go early and just keep to myself. Today was fly day 43 and I'm only 'just' starting to feel that I have some proper control. Traveling along my FPV journey, I'll see where it leads me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5RjV1snc14k

G'day J-F, yes we took a Femto and a Meteor75. He had his first flight. I was very impressed with how well he went. Young people are just great🦘. I do hope he sticks with it as well.

I don't know about where you live - but an Australia you can make money collecting aluminium cans and glass beer bottles then cash them in for ten cents each. Recycling money 💰I do it. Hope this helps.
