Is the SpeedyBee Mario 5 a solid build? (Newbie looking for advice)
Hey everyone! I’m fairly new to the FPV hobby and I’m looking at the SpeedyBee Mario 5 as my first real freestyle quad. I’m planning to get it with the DJI O4 Air Unit Pro in it.
Specifically the one from Droneshop: 👉 https://droneshop.nl/speedybee-mario-5-freestyle-pnp
Before I pull the trigger, I wanted to ask the community about the reputation of the hardware inside. I see it comes with the SpeedyBee F405 V4 Stack (FC + 50A/55A ESC).
My main questions:
How is the reputation of this FC and ESC stack? I know SpeedyBee is popular because of the app, but is this stack considered reliable for a daily flyer, or do they have a high failure rate?
Since I am new, I will probably crash a lot.
Is the Mario 5 frame (with the 6mm arms) as durable as it looks, or does that aluminum head piece cause issues?
Overall, do you think this is a 'good' drone to start with
