Enjoying My First Drone: Progress with the Femto
Short practice only 2 batteries - such is life. The Femto has been a great first drone for me. My progress may be slow-ish (I'm old) but I can't believe how well it all has gone so far. I really enjoy the whole process. I'm in awe of some of the incredible pilots on here who post their amazing videos. This FPV stuff is fun.

Thanks mate it sure is a great place to live. I'm fortunate to have a couple of fly spots close. When I have some more experience and control I'm keen to go try a few more around here.
I still suffer from head flop bad it does not look cool at all.

What do you mean by head flop?

Well unconsciously I slowly turn and let my head flop to the side over my shoulder and I kind of start feeling like I'm 'drifting' sideways - a kind of vertigo - it does disorientate me - it is 'mostly' momentary and I have to work at re-orientating myself - once I get a 'grip' on myself again I'm okay. it's something I have been trying to overcome. Plus it looks way uncool - like I'm 'special'. I'm pretty sure if I put the effort in I will eventually recover from this unfortunate condition.

Flights like this make me even happier than seeing my own edits. I can still remember how my hands would shake after takeoff, hearing it in the motors when the throttle would twitch with my adrenaline fueled hands. Only chase yourself, progress against yourself, race against yourself. We're glad you found us.

Wow - thank you so much for your very positive and encouraging comment. Hahaha yes I'm with you on the hands shaking thing, for me it is only just starting to ease off. I may be slow learner but I feel good with how I'm progressing. My race, my pace - I'll get there - so much to learn. I'm really enjoying the whole FPV thing and it is so exciting zooming around. I'm glad I found all you FPV mob as well. 🙋♂️
