Best Stack Options for 5" Freestyle Builds: Speedybee F405 Review
What would be a good stack for a 5" free style build? Is the "Speedybee F405" any good?

It depends on where youre located and what you have access to. If you have access to all the available brands/components, then speedy bee is a great starter-intermediate brand. If youre in a country with supply constraints, it's probably more important to get back ups than top of the line. I still have a bunch of speedy bee stacks/aios on drones that work great.
If youre in the US, the gov just announced new 10%-100% tariffs on non-US drones/components that roll out between now and Feb 2027.

I'm located in the US. But if you say the speedy bee is a decent start stack then I'll go ahead and save up for the build. Thanks for the response.

I would also recommend any flight controller with an stm32f7 chip to let more connections to be allocated as well as running blheli32 or am32 firmware on the esc. For most applications, though, the f405 stm32 chip is fine
